5.1 – 5.2 · Recognising an AP

A list of numbers is an arithmetic progression only if every term is obtained by adding the same fixed number to the one before it. Read each real‑world pattern, then tap the card to check.

aₙ = a + (n − 1)d
aₙ = target  →  n = (target − a)/d + 1
Reverse the AP: new a = l, new d = −d, then apply aₙ = a + (n − 1)d

5.4 · Sum of the first n terms
